Description
Unusual Early Islamic Small Jug Glass, 7th /8th Century AD.
Small globular vessel with a thickened rim and a concave base. The handle between the shoulder and rim are formed of strip of glass with the upper end protruding.
A white glass thread is applied horizontally in a row of irregular zigzags.

Unusual in its manufacture technique
Formed around an iron rod rather than blown,
The jar lent a cylindrical inner conformation in place of the globularity resulting from blowing.
