Ancient Roman Herodian Glass Funnel (Infundibulum)
1st Century AD “Time of Jesus”
Funnel with bell-shaped mouth. Rim outsplayed
and turned up at lip,
wall descends in S-shaped curve; tube tapers slightly, then splays toward bottom; lower rim apparently fire-polished.
Intact, With very nice patina “very rare”.
Found in Naples (NEAPOLIS)

(Funnels, which were also made of metal and earthenware, were used in by physicians and perfume sellers for decanting small quantities of liquid)
