Ancient Roman Olive-green glass Jug, 4th Century AD.
With pear-shaped body supported on an applied circular base, narrow tubular neck extends into a horizontally splayed lip with in-folded rim,
Wound below rim; thicker trail, pinched several times, wound around neck.
On body diagonal ribbing
The strap handle joining the shoulder with the rim is formed from a tooled ribbon of glass, and at the lip there is an elaborately tooled finial with serves as a thumb rest.
