Appearing the Name of Umar
ʿUmar ibn Ḥafṣ al-Muhallabī served as the governor of Ifriqiya between 151 AH and 154 AH (circa 768–771 CE). He is notably recognized for rebuilding the city of al-ʿAbbāsiyya, which was previously known as Ṭubna. The city was renamed in honor of the Abbasid Caliphate following its reconstruction.

وهو عمر بن حفص المهلبي والي أفريقية بين سنتي ١٥١ و ١٥٤ و هو من جدد بناء العباسية و أعطاها هذا الاسم بعد الاسم القديم طُبنة.
كما ويظهر عليه آثار حفر احرف اخرى ربما كانت لتأكيد اصالة الدرهم
