Ancient Roman Glass Ewer with Handle
Date: 1st–3rd century CE
Origin: Eastern Mediterranean
This large Roman glass ewer represents a refined example of ancient blown glass craftsmanship.
The vessel features a tall, elongated ovoid body tapering gracefully toward a slightly Ring base, surmounted by a cylindrical neck that expands into a wide, flaring mouth with a neatly folded rim.
A single applied handle extends elegantly from the shoulder to the rim, demonstrating skilled hot-working techniques typical of Roman glass production. A delicate trail decoration is visible around the neck, vertical ribs on the body.
Very nice natural Patina rich layers of silver, purple, and bluish hues.
