Ancient Roman Glass Bottle
1st–2nd century AD, Eastern Mediterranean
A well-formed Roman sprinkler flask in thick green glass, with a globular body and short cylindrical neck with a slightly everted rim. the body ripped and the surface is richly covered with natural encrustation and early iridescence, giving the piece strong archaeological presence.
Such vessels were used for dispensing valuable liquids, including perfumes or medicinal oils.
