Witness of Byzantine lamp Used during the Islamic era, 5th/8th Century AD.
Byzantine cast bronze oil lamp with a rounded body and elongated spout.
The handle was with elaborate cross rising from it, Missing the horizontal parts of the Cross, its seems to be Used in the Early Islamic Period(Umayyad) when they start to remove the Crosses on the Coins and other objects or change it or Modify it to other Symbols.
Its seems to be reused by Islamic family.
With very nice patina

bronze lamps, with their increased cost over pottery lamps, were probably a kind of heirloom, and were also probably reserved for the richest households.
